Get to know me a little more. My journey thus far as a Designer, what I love to do & how to get in contact with me.
Senior Designer for UTSA Roadrunners
Human being & part-time Pixel Pusher with a passion for building identities, interfaces & digital experiences. Problem solver with clear attention to detail and utilizing the process of ‘design thinking’ to curate content effectively & efficiently.
A brief history of my journey & work experience began as a Graphic Artist at El Paso Times working on various business ads for the local newspaper. Shortly after this position I graduated from The University of Texas at El Paso with a BFA in Graphic Design & minor in Drawing.
My early career continued at Ghostlight Creative as a Graphic & Web Designer where my main focus was design & front-end development of websites. Here is where I truly fell in love with web design and building my skills in user-interface & user-experience design. Working at Fuzzy Red Panda was my first introduction to sports design and creative technology. I worked with a great team creating work for various sports social media utilizing Team Infographics. This opened my creative world to the digital space & social media in sports, where I quickly fell in love. I transitioned to ESC Region 19 Head Start as a Multimedia Graphic Design Specialist. Where I worked on everything from print to digital media such as creating campaigns & revamping their website as well as their social media presence. (All work subject to change after position vacancy)
As a Multimedia Designer for the UTEP Miners my main focus was on Graphic Design for Miner Vision Productions. My previous background experience has allowed me the creative freedom of curating content for the social media of Miner Vision Productions & the UTEP Miners. I work with an awesome team to create everything from campaigns to graphics & collateral for game days. On game days I help with production of implementing & operating graphics for venue video boards during games using Daktronics - Show Control System. Also, I operate the CG & Graphics System for UTEP live games during ESPN production running on XPression by ROSS Video.
Currently, my career has continued as a Senior Designer for UTSA Roadrunners’ Creative Services. Here I am able to help build & grow a new creative team by utilizing my previous experience from UTEP. It’s a fresh new start for me moving to a new city of San Antonio where my career & experience can grow even more. We have branded our new creative team Rowdy Creative and our focus is on Video Production, Graphic Design and Game Day Broadcasting for UTSA Athletics.
