'19-'20 UTSA Social Media
Revamping UTSA Athletics social media identity across all platforms. Creating an identity that is simple & minimal while keeping the Athletics Department cohesive.
The challenge was to revamp all social media accounts for UTSA Athletics. All social media platforms have their own aspects from cover sizes to avatars for your profile. Finding a solution to keep all accounts similar & cohesive.
First solution was to find a design style without reinventing the wheel. Utilizing what branding is already established, I used elements from UTSA Roadrunner logo. Each shape can be used for various layouts & compositions, allowing numerous variations.
Next solution was for Social Media Covers. Utilizing Adobe Photoshop Artboards to lay out covers for both Twitter & Facebook, I can keep both cohesive and consistent. Design concept is to focus on the UTSA Athletics branding of each sport such as the uniforms.
Design for Twitter accounts showcasing each sport respectfully. Working with responsive design, making sure cover design is efficient on Desktop/Laptop format.
Making sure this design concept is responsive for tablet formats and is still cohesive across all platforms from website to apps.
Next solution was for Avatar/Profile pictures for social media accounts across all platforms. Understanding the circular composition used by majority of platforms, each avatar is customized to that shape. It allows for better spacing and keeps all avatars balanced even sports with longer names.
The use of Adobe Illustrator helped to put together each Avatar for social media accounts. Placing them in Artboards able to make workflow faster by being able to export in batches once done. Plus, seeing all avatars together helps keep balance across all sports names.
Example of how avatars and header designs look on mobile devices. Design concept is responsive and cohesive across all platforms.
